Sinead presented a provocative case of submissive PE in a patient with a recent history of traumatic subarachnoid haemorrhage with prolonged hospital admission and no DVT prophylaxis. ED could help our inpatient teams by considering VTE prophylaxis in high risk patients from time they are identified for admission.
