Albany Critical care EDUCATION

The Albany Emergency Department is the emergency health care hub of the Great Southern Region in Western Australia. In conjunction with WA’s Emergency Telehealth Service, Albany ED provides support for the surrounding towns including Gnowangerup, Katanning, Kojonup, Ravensthorpe, Mt Barker and Denmark. The department has a strong relationship with the Albany Regional Clinical School and regularly hosts candidates undertaking the ACEM certificate and diploma in emergency medicine.

AlbanyCritCare is an educational website for all critical care staff working the Great Southern Region. It provides educational materials for the Albany ED and the regional Emergency Medicine Education and Training (EMET) programme. It is produced by local emergency physicians, general practitioners, EM trainees, critical care nurses and nurse practitioners.
